Child & Teen Specialist

Trauma-EMDR-DBT-CBT-ACT

Laveen AZ

I help children, teens, and families navigate the challenges that feel overwhelming — anxiety, emotional outbursts, ADHD, trauma, school stress, and big feelings that kids don’t yet have the words for. My approach is warm, engaging, and developmentally tailored, blending evidence‑based therapy with play, creativity, and connection so young clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. Specialized Support for Children (Ages 6+) In‑person therapy for young children is increasingly rare, yet it’s one of the most effective ways to help kids build emotional skills. I incorporate play‑based strategies with CBT, DBT, EMDR, and TF‑CBT to help children: Manage anxiety and worries Improve emotional regulation Reduce anger and outbursts Build confidence and social skills Heal from trauma, bullying, or loss Navigate ADHD‑related challenges Parents often tell me they finally understand the “why” behind their child’s behaviors — and feel relieved to have tools that actually work at home. Support for Teens Adolescents often come to me feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or shut down. I help teens explore their emotions, strengthen coping skills, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others. Therapy for Adults I also work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, parenting challenges, and major life transitions. My goal is to help clients reconnect with their values, strengthen emotional resilience, and move toward meaningful change. My Approach I tailor therapy to each client using: CBT DBT EMDR TF‑CBT ACT Solution‑Focused Therapy Person‑Centered Therapy Whether we’re using structured tools or playful interventions, I meet clients exactly where they are. Background I have experience providing individual and group therapy in both residential and outpatient settings, supporting clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. I’m passionate about helping families find clarity, connection, and hope. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching sports, traveling, and relaxing with my dogs.

Trauma Specialist

EMDR‑Trained | 17+ Years of Experience

Laveen, AZ

With more than 17 years of experience as a licensed therapist, I help teens (12+) and adults heal from the emotional wounds that continue to shape their lives — whether those experiences happened in childhood or more recently. Trauma can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from ourselves, and my goal is to provide a safe, grounded space where you can begin to reclaim your strength and sense of self. I specialize in supporting clients through trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, anger, and major life transitions. I am trained in EMDR, CBT, DBT, and other evidence‑based modalities, allowing me to tailor therapy to your unique needs and pace. Clients often come to me when they feel ready to understand their past, break old patterns, and move toward a more peaceful and empowered future. My approach is deeply human. Like you, I wear many hats — I am a mother, wife, sister, friend, animal lover, cancer survivor, entrepreneur, and someone who has personally navigated immigration, interracial marriage, and the loss of a parent. These experiences shape the empathy, patience, and authenticity I bring to the therapeutic relationship. I believe that a strong connection between therapist and client is essential for meaningful transformation. I am committed to walking alongside you with compassion, humor, and a genuine belief in your potential. Together, we will work to uncover the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that stand between you and the life you want to live. Outside the therapy room, I enjoy gardening, hiking, photography, traveling, spending time with loved ones, and appreciating the simple joys of life.

Kelsey Williams, MSW

Kelsey brings her friendliness and love to our practice. She enjoys helping our clients and our providers alike. When she is not taking care of everyone at our practice, she is busy loving her children. If you are lucky, you may hear her small children in the background while on the phone with her. We love the fact that she is an amazing mother to her children while being our backbone!

CBT & DBT Focused

Laveen AZ

Life has a way of overwhelming us — especially when stress, anxiety, or painful experiences begin to affect our confidence, relationships, or sense of direction. My goal is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore what’s weighing on you and begin moving toward the peace and clarity you deserve. I work with children (Ages 10+), teens and adults, and I especially enjoy supporting adolescents and young adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, anger, relationship or interpersonal conflicts, challenging life transitions, or thoughts of self‑harm. Using CBT and DBT techniques, I help clients understand their thoughts, regulate emotions, and build healthier patterns that support long‑term growth. With an extensive background in behavioral health, I bring a patient, empathetic, and nonjudgmental approach to every session. I’ve worked with individuals and groups across a wide range of life experiences, and I believe deeply in the power of our thoughts and words to shape our healing. I also bring a sense of humor and authenticity to the work — because therapy should feel human, not clinical or cold. Clients often tell me they feel understood, supported, and encouraged to challenge the beliefs that have been holding them back. I look forward to helping you navigate the thoughts and emotions that stand between you and the calmness, peace, and joy you deserve.
